Elizabeth Jane Fisher (EJ Fisher) is a passionate and versatile writer with a strong background in stage, screen, and fiction. Her work has been performed professionally at Liverpool’s Royal Court Studio, where her short play Midnight Mass Bouncer was staged following her involvement in the theatre’s respected writers’ development programme.
Her TV pilot Splicing was shortlisted by the BBC Writersroom and ranked highly in the Studio 22 competition for new scripts and series bibles. She is also an accomplished prose writer, with her short story 45th For My 45 earning runner-up in the prestigious London Evening Standard competition.
EJ has produced and facilitated mini writing festivals at Café 81 in Liverpool, and is deeply engaged in the city’s creative community. Current projects include new stage plays (Layla Sugar and Clown Revolution), a feature film (Secret Suffragettes), and two novels.
She brings energy, warmth, and real-world experience to her teaching—empowering new writers to find their voice and develop their craft across mediums.
