Colin Kilbride
Trainer / Tutor
Colin trained as an actor and director at LIPA (The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts).
He is a qualified lecturer (PGCE: PCET) and has tutored acting and/or voice at institutions including LIPA, ALRA North, UCLAN, ICAT and The City of Liverpool College and has delivered projects and master-classes both nationally and internationally
He has directed or co-directed numerous plays including I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Edinburgh Festival), The Curse of The Starving Class, Two, Seven Stories, The Grimm Tales, Bouncers and Shakers, Black Roses, The Visit, Sweet Charity, Of Mice and Men, Teechers, Belly Up and Split Endz (both for Eden Women’s Theatre) and the devised Turnpike Tales (for Turnpike Theatre Company’s 30th Anniversary production). He is currently directing The Twits with Turnpike and Sink The Belgrano (in Liverpool).
Theatre and TV acting credits include Anorak of Fire (OneMan Show), Lovin’ It (Yorkshire Women’s Theatre), Sister Josephine Kicks The Habit (The Jake Thackray Musical: World Premiere). Jem in To Kill A Mockingbird, Twelfth Night and Famous And Forgotten (The Mercury Repertory Theatre Company), Blaze Of Darkness (International Production Company), The Insane (Appleseed Films) and The Last Hour (HedgehogFilms). He has toured nationally as an actor musician and has founded a successful production company through which he performs and records regularly.
