Finding the Truth is suitable for those who have completed the Script Analysis course or those who are familiar with objectives, obstacles and tactics, units, beats and actions. It is the third course in our Core Acting Pathway.
Over ten weeks we will intensify your character’s purpose through the development of personal and imaginative connection to given circumstances and scene tasks.
We will explore Sense Memory, Emotional Recall, Substitutions and Imagery. We will look at contemporary fictional monologues and verbatim pieces.
We will base our work on practitioners such as Uta Hagen, Stella Adler and David Mamet.
This course culminates in a monologue slam, performed in the theatre.
