You don’t need to guess — we’ll help you find the right fit.
We offer a range of acting courses at MAD, from beginner level to advanced ensemble work. Some focus on confidence. Some on text and performance. If you’re not sure where to start — or what’s next — here’s a clear breakdown.
Step 1: Are you completely new to acting?
If the answer is yes, start with:
- No experience needed
- Supportive, welcoming environment
- Builds confidence, creativity, and communication
- 8 weeks, 2 hours per week
- Ends with an informal studio sharing (optional)
Step 2: Have you done some acting before — or just finished Beginners?
If you’ve already done some training, or want to build on your foundation, the Core Acting Pathway is next.
- Script Analysis – Learn how actors break down a script
- Finding the Truth – Explore emotional connection and character depth
- Theatre Training Company – Rehearse and perform a full play with a cast and director
You can move through the pathway step by step, pause between terms, or mix in a specialist course. It’s structured, but flexible.
If you’re returning to acting after time away, Script Analysis is often the best re-entry point.
Step 3: Want to explore something more specific?
We also offer standalone specialist courses throughout the year:
- Acting for Camera
- Musical Theatre
- Acting Shakespeare
- Acting for Sitcom
If you’re brand new to acting, we usually recommend starting with Beginners or Script Analysis before taking a specialist course.
