How long are your courses, and how much time do I need to commit?

Straight answer: 8 to 10 weeks. One session a week. That’s it.

You don’t need to give up your evenings. You don’t need to rearrange your life.

Our courses are short, focused, and designed to fit around real adult schedules — work, family, busy brains, the lot.

Course length

  • Acting for Beginners – 8 weeks
  • All other courses – 10 weeks
  • One-off workshops – occasional evenings or weekends

Time commitment

All courses run once a week on the same day and time.

2-hour courses:

  • Evenings: 7:00–9:00pm
  • Fridays: 10:00am–12:00pm or 1:00–3:00pm

3-hour courses (e.g. Theatre Training Company):

  • Evenings: 6:30–9:30pm
  • Fridays: 10:00am–1:00pm or 1:00–4:00pm

Do I need to do anything outside class?

A little — but nothing heavy.

Depending on the course, you might:

  • Learn a few lines
  • Bring something in for a task
  • Spend 15–30 minutes doing a short prep

No essays. No cramming. Just light prep if needed.

Is there a performance?

Some courses include a short sharing in Week 10 — usually during your normal class time. Occasionally, the timing might be slightly different.

Theatre Training Company always includes a sharing or in-house performance.

What if I miss a week?

It’s fine. If you miss one (or even two), just speak to your tutor — we’ll help you stay on track.

Can I take two courses at once?

Yes, if the timetables don’t clash. Some students combine acting and writing. Most stick to one course per term — but it’s totally up to you.

Weekly commitment at a glance:

  • 2 or 3 hours in class
  • 15–30 mins light prep (optional)
  • Same time and day each week

You’ll be amazed what you can build in that time.
