Summer Season

Our Summer Season is the highlight of the year, offering students a unique opportunity to participate in full-length productions at the renowned Hope Street Theatre. This season features four exceptional plays, twelve performances, sixty dedicated actors, and over 1,000 seats available for our enthusiastic audience.

The Course

Enrolling in our summer course guarantees you a speaking part in one of these incredible productions. With only 60 places available, admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. The course fee is £150, payable in installments, ensuring accessibility for all. Our directors will assign roles based on auditions and availability submissions, ensuring everyone gets a chance to shine.

Auditions

Auditions are a stress-free process designed to showcase your talent. You can audition in person or submit a self-tape. You’ll receive a scene to prepare in advance, and there’s no need to memorise lines. Once you’ve booked your place on the course, a speaking part is guaranteed.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals will begin with read-throughs, followed by regular sessions scheduled around your availability. Whether you prefer rehearsing once a fortnight, weekly, or more frequently, we accommodate your needs. Even if you have holiday plans, you can still be part of this exciting production, as our casting process takes your availability into account.

Previous Seasons

Reflecting on our past successes, we’ve staged remarkable productions such as ‘Daisy Pulls It Off’, ‘Our Country’s Good’, ‘Napoli Milionaria’, and ‘Stepping Out’. In 2023, we presented ‘The Laramie Project’, ‘Caucasian Chalk Circle’, ‘Jerusalem’, and ‘Crimes of Passion – A Joe Orton Double Bill’. Each year, we strive to elevate our performances, making every summer season better than the last.
