The success of the Sega Genesis Mini / Mega Drive Mini showed that Sega still had steam for first party development. So if done right, a Saturn mini would  bring them one step closer to officially reentering the console industries. Unlike the Sony PlayStation Classic, it would focus on more on the games that gave everyone a reason to buy the Saturn, along with a few unreleased and imported titles.
