‘The Hand that fills the Glove’- Shakespeare two-day course
This is a two day course over two consecutive days (21st July and 28th July) exploring acting techniques to demystify and bring alive Shakespearian text and character. Classes will run 10-6pm both days.
We will use naturalistic Stanislavskian techniques to bring truth to 400-year-old language, also working through paraphrasing techniques to bring a high level of understanding, and meaning to the scenes.
The course is for all levels of experience and will be led by Jake Norton, actor, director and lecturer at The Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.
Learning outcomes-
- You will have learnt techniques to use in any classical acting work
- You will be able to apply naturalistic technique to classical text
- You will have studied, learnt, rehearsed and performed a classical scene in The Hope Street Theatre
