Nick’s television credits as an actor include Hearts and Minds, Pleasureland and The Agents. He toured the UK appearing in a number of plays and stage productions before turning his hand to producing. As a producer, his productions include: The Importance of Being Earnest (Theatre Royal Haymarket, West End), Stepping Out (UK Number 1 Tours), The Ukulele Project (Edinburgh & UK Tour), Our Boys (Tour, Pleasance Theatre London and Criterion Theatre, West End) Decline and Fall (London), Artist Descending A Staircase (London), Closer (The Hope Street Theatre, Liverpool). He has also produced comedy and magic shows.
Nick is a founder of the commercial production and general management company, Arcade. Between 2010-2012, he was Artistic Associate with Red Lion Theatres which runs the Old Red Lion and New Red Lion Theatres in London. Nick is a director of Papatango, an Olivier Award winning theatre company, who champion the next generation of brilliant playwrights. Papatango discoveries have won BAFTAs, Critics’ Circle, OffWestEnd, Alfred Fagon and Royal National Theatre Foundation awards, premiering in over twenty countries.
Together with Sam Donovan, Nick established Performers Theatre School in 2001 and the Merseyside Academy of Drama in 2008. Nick and Sam opened The Hope Street Theatre in 2018. Nick has over 20 years experience of teaching acting and drama. He combines a busy creative practice with a career as a solicitor in London.
