Barbara Phillips – professional television, radio and stage writer. having written for Channel 4’s Brookside and Doctors on BBC1. Barbara has written and composed two original musicals – MISUNDERSTOOD? – performed at the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool and Contact Theatre, Manchester – and BRAND NEW WORLD which was staged at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Barbara also co-devised and wrote part of a 20-part Radio Drama Series entitled The Grove, which was broadcast on BBC Radio Merseyside and nominated for a Sony Award in 2006.

Barbara manages Positive Impact, a community training and development organisation for young people wishing to get involved in the performing and creative arts. Positive Impact helps to recognise, develop and support talented young people providing a springboard for young emerging talent from the local community.
