Improvisation is a course for those who have done some acting before or who have completed one or more of our acting courses.
In a nutshell, improvisation is making up scenes spontaneously without a script.
Improvisation enhances your acting skills, creativity, spontaneity, free-thinking and self-confidence. It is awesomely funny! You will laugh a lot!.
This 10 week course will focus on the principles of improvisation (Listen, Say Yes, Yes And) that can be applied to any form of improvisation. This course specifically develops your comedy improv skills. It will be fun, friendly, supportive and non-judgemental.
You may think you’re ‘not funny’, or ‘can’t improvise’, but, with support and encouragement, everyone can improvise!
This course is perfect for:
People who have minimal experience of doing improv.
People who have some experience of improv or acting but want to work on their improvisation / character skills
People who are experienced in acting or improv but want to keep practicing their craft on a weekly basis.
People who want to feel more confident in their acting and improv skills.
At the end of the 10 weeks participants will have the opportunity to take part in an improvised performance in a local theatre space.
