Acting for Beginners is for those with little or no experience.
The course is suitable for you if you are new to acting or if you have done some acting before and would like to build your confidence.
We’re looking for people who just want to ‘have a go’. Meet like minded people and discover together the unique experience of performance. Acting for Beginners is a ten week evening course and is a practical introduction to acting in a fun and supportive atmosphere.
Sessions include: drama games, improvisation, characterisation and text work. At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to take part in a short in-house performance.
Our Acting for Beginners course is lots of fun and provides the chance to explore acting techniques in a playful and practical way and build confidence while having fun and learning to be part of an ensemble.

Our Core Acting Pathway
Our Core Acting Pathway is made up of four courses, Acting for Beginners, Script Analysis, Finding the Truth and Advanced Acting / Theatre Company. If after taking Beginners, you decide you would like to develop your acting skills and technique further, you can follow this core pathway.
Other Acting Courses
Alongside our Core Acting Pathway, we also offer a range of other acting courses. These courses can be taken alongside or after completing our Core Acting Pathway. You should have taken Beginners or have some previous experience before taking one of these courses.
Our Core Writing Pathway
Our Core Writing Pathway is made up of five courses, Writing for Performance (Beginners), Writing Screen, Writing Radio, Writing Theatre, Writing Comedy. You start with the Writing for Performance course and then can take any of the other courses in any order.
