Writing for Theatre is an intermediate / advanced level course aimed at people with some writing experience.
Over the course of ten weeks, you will develop your writing skills focusing on structure, scenes, dialogue, and characterisation
This course is suitable for those who have completed our Playwriting for Beginners, or Intermediate Playwriting courses or have equivalent experience from elsewhere
This is a popular course that requires full attendance and at the end of the 10 weeks you will have the opportunity to take part in a reading of a short scene that you have written, performed in front of an invited audience.

Social Distancing | Due to the current coronavirus pandemic and the social distancing measures we need to put in place our Autumn term this year will look a little different to usual. Please note the following changes we have made to help keep our students safe: (1) Classes will be 90 minutes long and start times will be staggered; (2) There will be less students in each class (maximum of 8) in order to enable social distancing; (3) There will be additional material offered online in order to support the learning; (4) Depending on advice the showcase performance may be filmed or have reduced capacity for audience in order to adhere to social distancing requirements. |
